Created and edited by Maria Antoniadou, Billy Moore and Mark Wright.
Guided by BCU staff Ravi Deepres and Steve Chamberlain and working directly with original material from the photographic archives at the Library of Birmingham, Maria Antoniadou, Mark Wright and Billy Moore have created a still and moving image work exploring the theme of conflict within an historical and contemporary context. From the Siege of Paris in 1870, the Birmingham Blitz of 1940 to contemporary problems we subconsciously ignore or innocently never notice, we experience conflicts in different ways. The project culminates in a multimedia piece which seeks to explore both the realisation and loss of identity which occurs through the clouded, smoke and mirror, somewhat never understood, experience of conflict.
